Ich habe “Learning to Sleep” veröffentlicht, ein 50-minütiges Klavieralbum:
Learning to Sleep is a landscape made of sound, word and image. It’s based on piano improvisations that turned into songs, when my nervous system started to calm down; with one melody evolving into another, one chord flowing into the next passage – like a dream, forever shifting. Originally composed in 2023 with Drambo on an iPad, I finished the songs in 2025.
Das Album beinhaltet ein 118-seitiges Buch; Musik und PDF können via Bandcamp gekauft werden. Das Buch existiert auch physisch, und kann hier bestellt werden (Fotos davon sind weiter unten in diesem Post).
Zusätzlich zu Musik und Buch, habe ich eine Software entwickelt, mit der aus meinen Tuschezeichnungen in Echtzeit Kaleidoskope generiert werden können. Jeder der fünfzehn Tracks von “Learning to Sleep” existiert dadurch auch als ein Kaleidoskop auf YouTube.
Die Themen dieses Albums haben auf orgainsche Weise zur Idee geführt, Kaleidoskope zu kreieren; sie wiederholen und verändern sich, kreisen durch vertraute Formen, die dennoch durchgehend überraschen – ein perfekter Spiegel für Meditation und Inner Work.
Wie bei meinen vorherigen Veröffentlichungen (Cradle und Flow), war mir auch bei “Learning to Sleep” wichtig, der Musik ein physisches Element hinzuzufügen: wie existiert die Musik abseits der Musik?
Ich habe erneut ein Buch geschrieben, um die Themen dieser “Landschaf” zu vertiefen. Auf 118 Seiten werden Bild und Text durch ein fokussiertes Grafik Design verwoben, das die Grundlage für die Entwicklung der oben genannten Kaleidoskop-Software darstellte.

This April 2023, my work gets shown in public places throughout Vienna, alongside the work of artists Stella Bach, Bettina Beranek, Sissa Micheli, Thomas Riess and Stylianos Schicho.
You get to see the pieces in various LCD displays that are usually used for advertisement purposes. There are tours through the city, to let you explore all displays.

My work is currently exhibited as part of the group show “HERBST 2022” at Forum Kunst Contemporary in Stift Millstatt. It’s a beautiful space in amazing, scenic surroundings — do drop by!
In 2020 I started JOMO – Joy of Missing Out together with Julia Bugram and Paula Marschalek. We do monthly public conversation with experts of the fine arts field, with a focus on topics that aren’t often discussed: why coaching can help artists, how to set up an art fair, how to establish a life long art practice, etc.
I was asked to participate in a panel discussion about art and crises, as part of the group exhibition “(K)ein Mensch Ist Eine Insel” at Künstlerhaus Wien.
The panel included Asta Cink, Bernhard Kittel, Jeanne Wolff Bernstein and Günther Oberhollenzer, and was moderated by Nina Schedlmayer.
A selection of works from my Waiting-series was featured in the “For The Immortal” issue of Nektr magazine.
In 2019 I was asked by Alexandra Rutsch Brock to give a presentation about my path into the arts, for her students at Pelham High School/NY. I talked about how I started drawing at age 24, got into the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna two years later, wrote a PhD thesis that got me into curating, led an artist-run space, managed a startup gallery, and left curating to found the On Doubt YouTube channel.
What a ride.
